The Official Ticket Site for The 36th Ryder Cup is now closed. Ticket applications were accepted on www.pga.com/rydercup until midnight (GMT) on July 18th 2005. Successful applicants were determined through a computerised random lottery draw to take place in August 2005.

Course Overview

The Kildare Hotel & Country Club — The K Club — in Straffan, Co Kildare, will play host to the Ryder Cup Matches in Ireland in 2006. The Kildare Hotel & Country Club has demonstrated, through the Smurfit European Open since 1995, that it possesses a very special golf course, which has received high praise from professional golfers and enthusiastic spectators alike. Designed by Arnold Palmer, it has all the facilities required to host the most prestigious international match in golf and the Ryder Cup Committee looks forward to an outstanding encounter in 2005. The Kildare Hotel & Country Club, which was officially opened in July, 1991, was among the candidates for the 1993 Ryder Cup Matches. Since then it has hosted the European Open, the Smurfit Irish Professional Championship and the PGA Cup Matches of 1992.
